India is the world’s second largest producer of cotton and government have had banned the export of cotton to ensure supplies for the domestic mills. Textile product manufacturers in India have been concerned about shortages and high prices. The Indian Farm Minister has taken a step to lift the ban because this year the production of cotton is higher and the farmers are already complaining of falling prices.
