Do Toys Need Clothes?

Toys emulate humans in their design and features. Like humans, they need clothing too. Naked dolls do not create a good vibe. You need to adore them with beautiful dresses to make them attractive. It is better involving your children in the process. It is not just the dolls that need to be clothed. You can also encourage them to come up with design ideas for doll houses, chairs and car and motorcycle covers, among other toys.

Doll Clothing

The most popular type of toy clothing is one that is used to dress dolls. You have great liberty in dressing up your dolls. Apart from traditional clothing, you can achieve sartorial perfection by coming up with innovative designs. Popular fabrics used for doll clothing are cotton, silk and linen. Silk offers better embellishment opportunities whereas cotton is good for casual wear.

Don’t Forget the Accessories

It is not just the dolls’ clothing you should be looking for. It is equally important to sew bed covers, sofa covers, mini rugs, wall hangings and curtains for doll houses. You can also dress up other toys such as cars and motorcycles. Your children will love the planning and execution of sewing clothes, curtains and covers.

How to Wash Toys Clothing?

You can’t use a standard washing machine for this purpose. It will tear the delicate seams apart and you may have to start anew. Hand wash is the best way of cleaning your doll’s clothing and accessories. Use lukewarm water and add in little detergent. Do not use excessive rubbing to avoid mishaps. You need to be more careful with silk clothing than cotton or linen.

Dolls, toys and other play items need special care. You can adorn them with the best dresses, covers and sheets as long as you are careful of the overall theme. Get your children involved in the process and turn it into a fun exercise, toys need clothes too.
